little_Socrates, they do not understand what a nightmare just shopping for the household can be like. Simple things like making sure you are buying "free and clear" AND this is not always cheap you do not find these items on the bargain shelf. Trash bags, laundry soap, laundry softner, laundry bleach, cleaning supplies, here is one you do not think about toilet paper, deodorant, shampoos, body wash, and the list goes on forever. In my home everyone must adhere to these rules with no exceptions, it is a way of life and has been for 40 years. -

Giordano ,
I did the same with the magazines.
All my friends are aware how serious headaches are so they will either not wear any or smile and say today is a no hug day and we laugh. But none of them wear a lot of it that it would bother me.

For an example, as a homeowner I have hired electrical, plumbing and other contractors forewarning them over the phone that my home is a free and clear zone and going into great detail as to what that means. I cannot tell you how many times I have turned these fouls away and NO I do not pay their mandatory service call because you did not follow my explicit instructions of showing up fragrance free.
When wearing fragrances you are correct it should remain in that personal space. the real killer is when it is worn so strong that when the person leaves the fragrance stays in the area. This makes things like elevators next to impossible. Think about places most people go without giving any thought, scented air fresheners public restrooms are totally off limits. Yes, a lot of thought is given to everything single thing a migraine suffer avoids through out the day.
There is a long list of foods to be avoided.

Actually I agree with the OP 100%, for those who unfortunately suffer from sever migraines fragrances can be an instant killer to every thing we do in life. My home, my lifestyle, my life 24/7 is controlled by what I can and can not do to prevent the next migraine. I take a migraine preventative medication most people who take this drug take 25 to 50 mg to control their migraines, John Hopkins Hospital found the correct dosage to be 200 mg for mine. So yes your fragrances to some of us are very toxic, very unfortunately. -

Grreatteacher that is to funny about that cat. I love Country Gospel and my mother hates it. She is a very violent alz patient and when I had to transport her from place to place I told her if you hit me I WILL turn my music on and each time she hit me the music got louder. She finally got the idea and stopped hitting in the car. -

Mandatory Reporters of Child Abuse
by Dissonant15 inall states in the us mandate health care workers and teachers to report suspected child abuse to law enforcement.
this year our commonwealth expanded the law to include clergy, and to include a mandatory two hour training on what to look for and how to report, required for all mandatory reporters.. my coworker at the hospital said she and her husband did the training together, because her husband volunteers in the sunday school at the church, they required him to take it too.
i asked several witnesses when this law came into effect if all the elders and ms are going to be taking the training and everyone looked at me like i was an alien and they had no idea what the heck i was talking about.

I work with a youth group between the ages of 10 and 20. All parents are aware that all adults are trained to be on the look out for physical, sexual and emotional abuse and if we suspect any of the above we call the authorities to investigate. We are very proactive. If nothing is found we are very happy but we are out to protect the children first. -

These guys just freak me out!
by John Aquila inok, i didnt think anything about it.
but last night some friends from across the city called me up and said that the co was visiting their hall and in his talk he said that the society is getting geared up for a massive kingdom hall and assembly hall construction project worldwide next year.

Sounds like a new gimmick to get donations coming in since the May broadcast, ice cream plea and all other did not work. -

knock knock
by Sabin inif jw`s come knocking at your door, do you open it & engage in conversation, tell them to sod off, or just not answer the door?.
my husband`s has asked me not to answer the door to them if he isn't here?
he hate`s the fact that they make a point of calling when they know he will be at work.

They always knock, never ring the bell. My first comment is obviously you cannot read the sign it clearly states "Absolutely No Soliciting" in red posted next to the door bell. They always respond back we are not selling anything. Look I am very busy I work from home thus I really need to get back to work. And the last one that ever called one me I just looked at him and said if you really want to help find me about 5 husbands to handle all the bloody things I do not have time to get done as a single mom. You know I never saw them again. -

What’s the deal with all the Smart-Educated JWs?
by John Aquila inwe talk a lot about most jws being uneducated, uninformed, and that they lack critical thinking skills, but in my area there is a lot of jws that went to the university, medical school, law school, and came back to the organization.
in my circuit, that i know of, we had two electrical engineers, one computer engineer with a ph.d. eight teachers with a bachelors degree and three of those with a masters in education.
we had two medical doctors, one was a pediatrician who closed his business about 3 years ago and went to bethel.

I was thinking exactly that when you posted a question the other day. The "Elder" from my past is extremely intelligent with a good education and very good critical thinking skills.
But I have 2 kids now adults who are extremely brilliant one at age 30 all kinds of education still cannot figure out what to do with it so he is supervisor of banquet setup at a resort. I am paying all these loans for this, really. The other one dean's list top of her class choice of any job she wants. Full scholarship offers for her masters. Not ONE once of common sense anywhere in her brain, her boyfriend and I run after her continually picking up the missing pieces.
So maybe the answer is they just do not get the picture when they are that intelligent.

St. Augustine has got to be the best city in the USA. By far my favorite. I spend a couple of days there every month. Love the art galleries, so much history, the college, have you been in the college cafeteria it has the largest stain glass collection in the world. The architecture in this town is spectacular.
